Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Cincinnati, OH)

Ironwood Basin Health provides primary and specialty care in Cincinnati. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to referrals, and clear open items. • Track costs around clinic supplies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with referrals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Cincinnati. • We reply to every applicant.
