Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Ridge Learning Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with family communication. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charlotte. • We reply to every applicant.
