Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Charleston, SC)

Silverline Vale Staffing Group is a Charleston staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to temp assignments, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with temp assignments.
