Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Boise, ID)

Westbrook Loom Property Management Group is a Boise property manager with leasing, maintenance and resident services. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Boise. What you will do • Track costs around maintenance requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with resident events. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
