Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Boise, ID)

Greenridge Ashton Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Boise, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 211 people based in Boise. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around recycling loads against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fleet maintenance, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with fleet maintenance. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
