Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Pine Medical and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a small organisation of about 34 people based in Austin. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
