Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Mill Care Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client records, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client records. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
