Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Austin, TX)

Bright Fox Staffing is a Austin staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of about 336 people based in Austin. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
