Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Atlanta, GA)

Nova Sable Insurance is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on accounts payable for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer complaints, and clear open items. • Track costs around underwriting files against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Atlanta. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
