Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Anchorage, AK)

Silverline Umber Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Anchorage. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to card disputes, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with card disputes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
