Senior Accountant - accounts payable (Albuquerque, NM)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Union Inspection Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be accounts payable. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with test reports.
