Sales Representative - local business accounts (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Bright Markets is a Des Moines retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Sales Representative to lead our local business accounts. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with operations so promises made in the sale can be kept. • Keep the CRM accurate and report on the pipeline weekly. • Explain our services around pricing clearly and honestly. • Prepare quotes and follow up until the customer decides. • Find and contact prospects and set up meetings. What we are looking for • Comfort travelling locally to meet customers. • Honest, persistent and good at listening. • Two or more years in business-to-business or consultative sales. Nice to have • An existing network in the region. • Experience selling pricing. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
