Registered Nurse - patient education (Virginia Beach, VA)

Fernwood Wren Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Virginia Beach. We are hiring a Registered Nurse to take on patient education. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacists and social workers. • Follow infection-control and documentation standards. • Educate patients and families in plain language. • Assess patients, record findings and carry out care plans. • Support work on visit scheduling with clinical expertise. What we are looking for • Two or more years of clinical experience. • Kind, steady and clear when explaining care. • Active state RN licence. Nice to have • Experience with visit scheduling. • BLS/ACLS certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
