Registered Nurse - patient education (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit Corner Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Registered Nurse to take on patient education. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Support work on catastrophe response with clinical expertise. • Follow infection-control and documentation standards. • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacists and social workers. • Educate patients and families in plain language. • Assess patients, record findings and carry out care plans. What we are looking for • Active state RN licence. • Kind, steady and clear when explaining care. • Two or more years of clinical experience. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • BLS/ACLS certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
