Registered Nurse - patient education (Detroit, MI)

Fernwood Sparrow Transit Planning Group helps transport agencies around Detroit design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Registered Nurse to take on patient education. You would join a large organisation of about 912 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Assess patients, record findings and carry out care plans. • Support work on ridership counts with clinical expertise. • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacists and social workers. • Follow infection-control and documentation standards. • Educate patients and families in plain language. What we are looking for • Active state RN licence. • Two or more years of clinical experience. • Kind, steady and clear when explaining care. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • BLS/ACLS certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
