Recruiter - technical hiring (Jackson, MS)

Fernwood Vale Community Partners is a nonprofit in Jackson supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring a Recruiter to take on technical hiring. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Post roles, screen applicants and schedule interviews. • Report weekly on pipeline and time to fill, including for roles tied to volunteer shifts. • Coordinate offers, background checks and start dates. • Partner with hiring managers on what the job really needs. • Keep every candidate informed, including those who are not selected. What we are looking for • Two or more years of recruiting experience. • Fast, friendly and organised. • Comfort with an applicant-tracking system. Nice to have • Experience hiring for teams that work on volunteer shifts. • Local job-centre and school contacts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
