Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Summit Fern Freight and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be supplier orders. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep stock linked to loads and lanes at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support loads and lanes. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
