Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (remote)

Fernwood Birch Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Louisville. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep stock linked to loads and lanes at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
