Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (remote)

Fernwood Cross Foods produces packaged foods at its Houston plant. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Keep stock linked to allergen controls at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
