Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Portland, OR)

Harborlight Sparrow Foods Group is a Portland food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our supplier orders. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to customer specifications at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support customer specifications. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
