Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Quarry Farms and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be supplier orders. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to harvest schedules at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
