Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (New Orleans, LA)

Silverline Sable Manufacturing Partners makes precision components in New Orleans, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our supplier orders. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to scrap and rework at sensible levels. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support scrap and rework. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
