Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (New Orleans, LA)

Silverline Junction Manufacturing is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The job centres on supplier orders for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to production lines at sensible levels. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support production lines. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
