Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Clear Freight and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be supplier orders. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to carrier rates at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
