Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Detroit, MI)

Fernwood Kestrel Markets is a Detroit retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our supplier orders. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Keep stock linked to store inventory at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support store inventory. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
