Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Des Moines, IA)

Nova Corner Markets is a Des Moines retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Keep stock linked to promotions at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support promotions. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
