Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Columbus, OH)

Harborlight Stone Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Columbus, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our supplier orders. You would join a small organisation of about 99 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to carrier rates at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
