Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Chicago, IL)

Amberfield Wren Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Chicago region. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to cold storage at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support cold storage. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
