Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Freight and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be supplier orders. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to loads and lanes at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
