Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Birmingham, AL)

Foxglove Birch Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Birmingham region, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our supplier orders. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to packing house output at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support packing house output. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
