Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Anchorage, AK)

Greenridge Stone Freight is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The job centres on supplier orders for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to carrier rates at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support carrier rates. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
