Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Virginia Beach, VA)

Fernwood Forge Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Virginia Beach. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to loads and lanes at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support loads and lanes. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
