Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Birch Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Savannah, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to carrier rates at sensible levels. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support carrier rates. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
