Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (San Diego, CA)

Rivermark Meridian Foods is a San Diego food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to sanitation schedules at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support sanitation schedules. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
