Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Richmond, VA)

Fernwood Ashton Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Richmond. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 811 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Keep stock linked to proof of delivery at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support proof of delivery. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
