Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Richmond, VA)

Ironwood Pike Early Learning runs childcare centres in Richmond caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 556 people based in Richmond. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to tuition and subsidies at sensible levels. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support tuition and subsidies. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
