Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (remote)

Westbrook Orchard Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Detroit. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to claims at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support claims. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
