Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (remote)

Northwind Yarrow Freight is a Charleston logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 803 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep stock linked to customer tracking at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support customer tracking. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
