Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (remote)

Fernwood Glen Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Baltimore, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to cold storage at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
