Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Providence, RI)

Harborlight Quarry Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Providence region, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 60 people based in Providence. What you will do • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to harvest schedules at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
