Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Harbor Farms and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be price comparison. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep stock linked to cold storage at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
