Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Oakland, CA)

Silverline Rowan Freight Group moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Oakland. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to proof of delivery at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support proof of delivery. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
