Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Oakland, CA)

Cedar Vale Markets Group is a Oakland retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 970 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to shrink and waste at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support shrink and waste. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
