Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (New Orleans, LA)

Fernwood Ember Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in New Orleans. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 815 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to maintenance stores at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support maintenance stores. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
