Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (New Orleans, LA)

Bright Nest Manufacturing makes precision components in New Orleans, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to customer orders at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support customer orders. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
