Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Louisville, KY)

Lumen Forge Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Louisville. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 656 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to dock schedules at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
