Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Jackson, MS)

Northwind Glen Foods produces packaged foods at its Jackson plant, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 69 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to allergen controls at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
