Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Indianapolis, IN)

Lumen Forge Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Indianapolis region. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to cold storage at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support cold storage. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
