Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Northwind Nest Manufacturing Group and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be price comparison. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to tooling at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support tooling. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
