Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Detroit, MI)

Summit Vale Manufacturing makes precision components in Detroit. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to machine downtime at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support machine downtime. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
